Working On Me

Working on me is scary
Working on me is hard
Working on me is necessary
In order for me to move Forward
Working on me takes time
Working on me is a process
Working on me happens daily
Working on me requires focus
Sometimes I fall down
But I’m working on me
I know what I need to do
And where I want to be
But working on me putting myself first
I’ve spent my whole life, ignoring me
Setting aside my wants and my needs
Working on me isn’t selfish
Working on me isn’t wrong
Working on me is the only way
That I can keep going daily
Nobody else can do it for me
This is what I have to see
The only way out of this rut
Is to start, no continue
Working on me.
